The Al-Ataa Centre was opened in September 2007 after it was registered by the Ministry of Social Development.

Until spring 2009 the Centre was located in Jabal Amman and since Autumn 2009 it has been relocated to Mousdar  The Al-Ataa Centre is one of the projects of Fida International Development Cooperation Agency in Jordan , which was Established in 2004 by signing an agreement with the Ministry of Social Development of Jordan.
